UK SEMINAR IN APRIL_

Simon´s just been invited to Brighton, UK, to take part in a seminar on music technology learning and training at the end of April. Tony Thomas, of Beat Dis, is organising the event around many of the classic questions posed by people starting out in music tech training – ¨which course is good for me, what experience and equipment do I need, and what work can I get at the end of it??¨.

RECORDING OVER THE INTERNET_

here’s an interesting article on harmony central – New Pro Tools Plug-In Enables Remote Recording via the Internet

A plug in (although its 1500 dollars!) that allows realtime recording over the net between studios. Very nice.

We have been keeping an eye on this kind of thing for a while – in the past few years there have been various attempts at the dream of live interaction between studios, composers and musicians over the internet. Res Rocket was an excellent example with a lot of promise, for instance, although unfortunately ahead of its time.
