We love the BBC…
if you look around on the BBC´s utterly enormous website, you can find amazing things…for instance, the reith lectures, a yearly set of fascinating lectures by an invited speaker on a current topic, are free to download and really worth listening to. They have been going since 1948. We put them on our mp3 player for long journeys…
We especially like the lectures from 2003, by neuroscientist, Vilayanur S. Ramachandran. He is not only a leading scientist but really fun to listen to talking about his work on discovering the mind. He talks not only about how it works, but looks into questions of conciousness, art, emotions, and more…
